Careers Leaders work in schools and colleges to establish a careers strategy and implement the careers programme.

The needs of our Scottish members are extremely important to us, and we value hearing your voices so we can tailor our provision accordingly. Scotland is distinctive in terms of its careers services and it is crucial that we recognise this and meet the specific needs of members in Scotland.
If you are living abroad, then you can join the CDI as an international member to access all our member benefits in a digital format. Price includes the £75 member fee and a one-off £25 joining fee. The renewal fee for this membership type will be £75 per year. This membership is ideal for members outside of the UK who wish to support their life-long learning and professional development, international members can access a wealth of online research, training and resources on the CDI website.
An school/college affiliate membership enables one nominated person to receive membership benefits on behalf of their organisation. Price includes the £105 member fee and a one-off £25 joining fee. The renewal fee for this membership type will be £105 per year. This type of membership is suitable for schools, colleges, and HE organisations, including any educational organisation from the corporate, public, community or voluntary sectors.

This free tool for CDI members offers a simple assessment of digital confidence. Use it once or annually as a regular review of your CPD. It presents 16 workplace scenarios for you to rate how confident you are in the digital skills needed. You'll receive a report giving scores and resources to help develop your digital skills further.

As part of its governance as a company and professional body, the CDI holds an Annual general meeting (AGM), usually each December. This is an opportunity for the CDI membership to hear from the CDI leadership, including the President and Directors, the Chief Executive and the Chair of the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee.
