- Each Unit is supported by a Workbook to support your learning and help you meet the assessment criteria. The Workbook and other supporting resources are sent out in advance and also available on the CDI Google Drive.
- units 4 and 5 which require the practice of career guidance and development skills will take place face-to-face after unit 3 Career Guidance Theory. Group work and presentation skills (Units 23 and 26) will also be taught and assessed in this way.
- Units 4, 5, 6, 7, 23 and 26 all require observation of you working directly with clients. This can be conducted by the assessor observing in your workplace or remotely by skype/Zoom or similar, or by video recorded interaction.
- Face to face training is from 9.30 – 4pm. Timings for virtual online sessions are included in this overview of the programme.
If you have already gained certification through the Career Leadership Programme for units 17, 18 and 19, you are only required to do the mandatory units (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) to achieve the full level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. If you have completed the Certificate in career Leadership using the ‘old’ standards (OCR 10215) then please discuss this with the CDI Professional Training Manager.
If you already have an NVQ level 4 in Advice and Guidance achieved prior to 2011, you can upgrade to level 6 through doing units 2,3 and 6. This would then provide access to the professional register.
Payment in full must be made before the course begins and is non-refundable. Costs cover the taught input days, tutor support, assessment, internal and external quality assurance, OCR registration and certification. Lunch and refreshments on the training days are also provided. You will also be provided with bespoke Work Books for each unit and access to resources.
Please note we can offer bespoke packages for those wishing to access individual units. We also offer a Payment by Instalment option for those wishing to access the Full Level 6 and the Seven unit programmes. Please email [email protected] for further details
